Site Verification

To ensure smooth delivery, the following information must be provided in writing on either the Reservation Receipt or the Site Verification Form:

  • Campground Name (or Delivery Address if not to a campground)
  • Site Number: If multiple sites are reserved, choose one to list on the reservation
  • Name on the Site Reservation
  • Placement Instructions (optional)

Renters must verify that the delivery site can accommodate the trailer:

  • Length & Width: The site must fit the trailer, including slide-outs and awning (if available).
  • AMPs: Trailers require either a 30amp or 50amp RV outlet (see “Hook-up Restrictions” below).
  • Distance to Hook-ups: Refer to “Hook-up Restrictions” below.
Hook-up Restrictions
Power Source
  • Must match the trailer. If not, renter must get campground approval to use an adapter.
  • A 30amp outlet adapted to a 50amp trailer will not power two AC units.
  • Extension cords must be approved in advance and are limited to one cord (25’ or less) per trailer.
  • Generators are not provided by River Road Rentals, and some trailers are not approved for generator use.
  • Trailers will not run on less than 30amps when temperatures exceed 95 degrees.
  • Issues can arise with generators, adapters, and extension cords, including melted plugs and power loss. Renters assume full responsibility and agree to reimburse River Road Rentals for all damage, including to the trailer power cord, plug, adapters, converter, campground outlet, and service fees.
Water Source
  • Must be within 30’ of the trailer’s water hook-up.
  • Use of the fresh water holding tank and water pump is not recommended or guaranteed (only needed when a water source is unavailable).
Sewer
  • Renters must verify sewer hook-ups with the campground.
  • Only one sewer hose is provided. If two are needed, River Road Rentals will provide a second hose, as available.
  • Sites requiring more than two hoses, or where the hose must run under or in front of the trailer, will be restricted to gray water only and are limited (not all can be hooked up).
  • Even with sewer hook-ups, the Black Water holding tank is always left in the closed position. Renters must pull the valve if necessary during the rental (only on full hook-ups).
  • Trailers set up on sites without sewer hook-ups will be limited to the capacity of the holding tanks.
Placement Restrictions
  • River Road Rentals cannot position a trailer where it may be blocked by another trailer.
  • All sites must be approved in advance and cannot be changed without River Road Rentals’ approval.
  • Sites that require extra time for trailer positioning or that might cause damage to our trailers (e.g., low tree limbs) are restricted.
Leveling Restrictions
  • Many campsites along River Road are not level. River Road Rentals uses a level to check both side-to-side and front-to-back, but it may not be possible to get the trailer perfectly level. Renters are responsible for selecting an appropriate site.
  • Side-to-Side
Trailers will be leveled using up to two blocks. Sloped campsites may require additional steps to access the trailer comfortably.
  • Front-to-Back
Trailers can only be leveled to the extent the hitch jack can be extended or retracted. Sloped campsites may not be level.
  • Showers
Trailers may be purposely left slightly “off level” to prevent water from running off the shower ledge onto the floor. Most customers do not notice this, but we apologize for any inconvenience. This precaution is necessary to prevent water damage to our trailers.
